Shipping & Receiving Best Practices

How to receive and inspect your bass so your escrow protection stays in force.

Inspect the box before opening

Note any crushed corners, punctures, or wet spots on the outer box and photograph them. Visible exterior damage is the strongest evidence for a transit-damage claim.

Unpack carefully and keep all packing

Remove the bass gently and retain the box, case, and packing material until you approve condition. You may need it if the item must be returned.

Run the 4-point inspection

Within your 48-hour window, check transit damage, cosmetic match to photos, electronics/pickups, and truss-rod/playability before clicking Approve Condition & Release Payment.

Dispute before approving

If anything does not match the listing, open a dispute instead of approving. Once you approve condition, escrow releases payout to the seller and the sale is final.
